IQTango — Public Beta Data Notice

Updated November 1, 2026. This preview includes public matchmaking for guest sessions. It is not a paid commercial launch. Features may change during beta testing.

Data collected

When you join online play, the service stores a guest display name, random session identifier (stored on the server as a one-way hash), your game answers, room membership, and scores. Your browser stores the guest token and the latest room code. Anonymous request throttling may store one-way hashes derived from Cloudflare-provided network IPs. The game does not request your contacts, location, or payment information. If you choose guest recovery, a hashed recovery-key record and its expiry are stored until the key is used or expires. The recovery key itself is returned to you once.

Who can see it?

Members of a private room can view each other's guest names and revealed answers. In public Instant Clash matches, players are displayed anonymously as Contender numbers, but their submitted answers become visible to other participants after each round. Public answers have basic language filtering; no filter is guaranteed to catch every inappropriate response. Public matches have no chat. Private room hosts control revealing and advancing; public Instant Clash matches advance rounds automatically. The optional three-match Championship Circuit stores a temporary guest-owned start time and progress status; weekly anonymous standings calculate the best three public scores within the current UTC week. Championship entries expire after 72 hours and are purged later during maintenance. The Daily Arena shows public leaderboard guest names and scores after its participation threshold is reached. Do not enter private information in a display name, question, or answer.

Retention

Expired rooms and their answers are cleared after 14 days by scheduled maintenance, Daily Arena answers after 30 days, expired sessions after 90 days, optional unused guest recovery keys after 30 days, and temporary rate-limit counters after approximately 48 hours. The cleanup job runs daily on the deployed Worker. Browser-local scores and question decks remain until you clear them in the browser.

Limitations

Guest profiles have no verified identity. Optional one-time recovery keys can transfer a guest profile to another browser. The 256-bit keys are shown once, stored on the server only as hashes, expire after 30 days, and invalidate previous sessions when redeemed. A new key replaces any old key. This is not email-based account recovery, does not transfer browser-local custom questions, and is not suitable for paid membership verification. Clearing browser storage without a saved recovery key may make a guest profile unrecoverable. No advertising, purchases, or Premium payments are connected in this beta. There is no working watch-an-ad unlock or paid subscription.

Questions, backups and deletion

Visit the Support & data controls page to prepare a support message, export saved local question decks, or delete IQTango data from this browser. Deleting browser data does not delete server-stored guest profiles, answers, or match history. For server-data removal, contact the operator through the support channel used to invite you before erasing your guest token. Authenticated online guests can now delete their server guest profile from the support page, but only when not in an active room or match. The action revokes recovery access and removes linked answers and personal scores; completed shared game history for other players and anonymous aggregated popularity totals can remain. This is a guest-session control, not a verified identity or billing-account deletion process. Never include a guest token or recovery key in a report. Do not use the beta for sensitive information.
